Shane Harvey has been tattooing on Oahu since 1995. That's three decades of needle work. In his own words: "You can catch me at TNT Tattoo. Walk-ins are always welcome. Around the year 2000 he founded Gunpoint Tattoo in Kailua and ran it for years. Several artists came up through his bench and went on to open their own shops — most notably Billy Whitney and Brian Takishita, who later founded 808 Tattoo on the windward side. Whitney still credits Shane publicly: "Shane gave me the freedom to develop my own style."

Lineage
